Intensive driving crash courses are an ideal way to reach test standard in a minimal amount of time. Other benefits are that you will likely need less hours than you would by taking weekly hourly lessons. With weekly lessons a certain amount of each lesson is recapping what you went over on the previous lesson.
Before starting an intensive crash course, Nottingham Driving School will first need to establish how many hours are required and over what time duration the course should be taken. Although a driving crash course can be taken within a single week if desired, taking the course this intensively isn't for everyone. |
With this in mind, Nottingham Driving School will take you on an assessment lesson. This assessment lesson will be taken from your chosen location in Nottingham and will establish how many hours you will need and also if a single week intensive is appropriate. If we feel a week intensive is not ideal, your instructor will discuss a suitable time frame in which the course can be taken so as to maximise the chances of you passing the driving test.
This is often arranged once we have contacted the learner driver, understanding their requirements and usually taking an assessment lesson. On average however, a complete novice can reach test standard in 30 hours or less with Nottingham Driving School.
As everybody's schedule is different, we do not have set times in which courses must be taken. Usually, after an assessment lesson, an intensive course is taken between 1 and 4 weeks with the test scheduled at the end. An intensive can be taken over more weeks if required.
Intensive courses work well if organised correctly. Certain individuals may struggle with a full 1 week intensive. If this is the case, they begin to lose the ability to retain what they are taught and may not reach test standard in time. This is why the assessment lesson is important. Once we have correctly assessed the ideal course structure, many of the hours of the intensive will be taken in and around the Nottingham driving test routes to increase your chances of passing.
